Sandy Hook: red flags part 2

Then I started watching the family interviews. These interviews really astounded me. Most were done within a day or two of the event. Instantly I was wondering how these parents were able to get it together and go through with these interviews BEFORE the funerals of their children.

Now, I don’t know about you, but if my child was brutally murdered in a mass shooting, I would be inconsolable. For days, weeks, months.

There is no way I would have Anderson Cooper come to my home to do an interview on national TV just 3 days after, as Grace McDonnell’s parents did. All before the actual funerals. Hell to the NO. It’s just not possible. I know 2 families whose children were killed suddenly and both sets of parents were barely able to attend the funeral. The loss is too tragic and the pain is so excruciating. Going on a trip or being on TV would be beyond unbearable for actual parents of actual  dead children. Imagine. So far, not one parent shows actual genuine emotion. There are no tears. There are no red, puffy eyes. There are smiles and jokes and an un-nerving lack of shock and anger.

There is no fucking way I would be packing up my family to fly to the White House to meet the President and take photos with big smiles, just 2 days afterwards as the Emilie Parker family did. (see above pic) I'm sorry, but emotionally, there is NO WAY that could be possible. Could you even imagine? And why are they even doing this? Smiling? I can't even stomach it.

- The Soto family interview. Three siblings and a cousin of victim Victoria Soto are interviewed within hours of the event and not only were none of them crying or appearing to have been crying, they are smiling and joking.  Soto family

- The Robbie Parker press conference held the evening of the shooting shows the grieving father laughing and saying “just read the cards?” as he approached the podium. This you have to watch to understand. Robbie Parker

- The McDonnell parents with Anderson Cooper just 3 days after. They are laughing and smiling. There are no tears.

No fucking tears. Big smiles. Watch McDonnells It is very disturbing.

I just cannot fathom being able to get out of bed, get dressed, put on make up, leave my house and go on national television just 3 days after my child was killed and have the composure these people have. Maybe it's me.
